More than 40 years ago Chevron had established Advanced Hydrocracking Technology, which was the basis for more than 70 Hydrocracking units designed worldwide. In 2005 Hydrocracking unit constructed according to ÑLG technology was put into operation in Ryazan Refinery. At the present time the similar units are being constructed in Kirish and Ukraine Refineries.

Since 1962 Chevron has been licensing Isocracking Technology which is preferred by many Oil Refining Plants aimed at Preliminary treatment of FCC feed stock for Diesel with very low Sulphur. The process of the technology promotion in sales market became more active after establishment of Chevron Lummus Global Company in 1993 when Chevron and ÀÂÂ Lummus Global united. ÑLG is world-wide known as the Leader in Heavy Crude Oil Refining and High Quality Base Lube Oils Production.

More than 40 years Chevron deals with the Technology of Hydro processes, Isotreating and Isocracking particularly developed by Chevron.

Chevron operates seven Hydrocracking units and a great number of Hydrotreating units. Catalytic Systems and Technological Innovations such as new Reactor Internals recommended by Chevron Lummus Global (CLG)> are applied during operation of these units. CLG experience is taken as basis for development of Instrumentation Pipeline diagrams, manuals for equipment materials, operation and safety guides suggested to Licensees of CLG. When a unit is put into operation the Licensees actually use the services rendered by CLG personnel.

Company Lummus Technology being a part of CB&I is one of the leading worldwide Licensors with the experience of more than 40 Hydrotreating units design within the last 15 years. CLG as a joint-company of Chevron and Lummus Technology inherited their best experience, in the result of which received the proposal for unique technologies packet.
